Dear Edward....
I neither speak nor understand German...I have seen your Youtube video and you speak excellent English.

First, I'd like to say that I highly respect your integrity and honesty in your approach to your Art, which I think is very unique. I was very impressed with the fact that you "work at the easel" until the painting is finished, without leaving.

For all extents are purposes, I am an illustrator, and with the kind of work I did, the hours required to do it would not allow the kind of work you do. I love what I do and what I did before but when I decided to retire and "paint for myself" a few years back, I decided I wanted to do the latter...and have been. It has not been easy..but I'm doing it......and bearing witness from someone else who is doing it already, has really enriched my experience.

I've always loved painting the automobile and in the beginning discovered that the client wanted "detail" and so I ended up "having to do it"....but I have now determined to do ART instead of ILLUSTRATION. with the same subject matter. I now do more plein air and on location work, focusing on the craft....and I'm happier with myself!

Again....I found your video inspirational and I thank you!

Sincerely,
